Youth Group

Welcome to Emanuel Lutheran Youth Group.  My name is Wendy Rudolf, the Youth Director.  I have recently taken over the position and the youth have been great!!  I felt welcomed right from the start and I know you will too.  Our group ranges from sixth to twelfth grade.  Though a diverse group, they have all come together and are close.  I am very proud of them and their desire to grow in the Lord.  We get together to learn, share, grow, and of course, to have a good time.  We have a Youth Council, and I have given the youth ownership of their group.  I strongly desire to hear their ideas, thoughts, and the direction they want to move in.  They get very involved in all their projects, using their talents to plan and carry them through.

 Every Wednesday, from 7:00-9:00 pm, we meet for Bible Study.  We take time every Wednesday, in addition to Bible Study, to talk, get to know each other, and have a good time.  Cookies or some other snack is usually involved!  The bible study is geared toward the youth and the issues they face today. We study a range of topics and I strive to instill in the youth that the bible is alive and applies to their lives right now.  If there is a topic anyone wants to study, they need only ask me.   

We always invite our youth to be part of the events at Emanuel Lutheran Church, and many of our youth attend services on Sunday.  We are discipleship-based and the youth are learning to put their faith into action through service projects within the church and community.  We also go on a yearly mission trip to help those in need in other areas of our country.

Every Friday night, the youth meet in the school’s gym from 6:30-9:00 for Game Night.  We play all sorts of games, and the group has a great time.  This is a perfect time to come down and invite your friends to join us.  Once a month on Friday night we try to go out.  Some trips include bowling, ice skating, movies, laser tag, go-carting, and more.  Check the calendar on-line to see what we are doing this month.  ALL ARE WELCOME!!

Following game time on Fridays from 9:00-10:00 we go down to the Youth Room for prayer and praise.  The youth enjoy a quieter time to listen to praise music of their choice and pray for one another and the issues affecting their lives.  Come just for the games or stay later for the prayer and praise.  Whatever you choose, just come down and check out what we are doing here.  We are open to all youth, whether you come to our church, go to a different church, or go to no church at all. You will be glad you did!
